Is there any new content in Johnny Panic? Any previously unpublished material, I mean. Or is just a new edition of the old version? I can't tell from Amazon.
I have not yet seen the book. So, I am not sure. I have seen the Collected Poems and it appears unchanged from previous editions (the telltale way to determine for me is whether or not "Daddy" appears in the index...it never has and still doesn't!). If this is any indication, then JP&tBoD is is unchanged likely.
When I do get my paws on a copy, I'll respond again.
Cheers
Peter
Hi, again. The JP&tBoD does appear to be the same as past editions. As this is part of Harper's P.S. series, it does have extra pages at the back about Plath and some of her books. Included in this books P.S. section is a reprinted a review by Joyce Carol Oates.
These books are available online, and at some bookstores in the Boston area.
Hi Peter, my order is already in. Any news on Wim Van Mierlo's book?
Good morning Melanie,
The last I heard, Wim Van Mierlo's book should be completed in early 2009. He posted a comment to the blog earlier this year about it being delayed a bit.
Cheers
Peter
