Sylvia Plath: A stamp-ede

The Poetry Foundation has announced that in 2012, the US Postal Service will be honoring ten poets with postage stamps.

UPDATE:
The Observer ran an article, "Sylvia Plath given stamp of approval", by Vanessa Thorpe on Sunday 18 September.

Nice! I can't wait to get mine! Love the other poets they've selected, too (although I wish Merwin had been included).

I wish Anne Sexton were one of them, too. I think her influence is by far greater than that of Levertov, there's practically no comparison. Let alone Lowell's compared to Hayden's.
I believe they could have been more creative and opt for another photo of Plath instead of using the same one again and again as if there weren't any other whatsoever, and we know there ARE and BETTER.

When looking at the small images... Hayden, Cummings and Levertov were the only 3 I recognized. (I purposely didn't look at the names) Actually I thought, Denise Levertov... no they would be including her! Thought she was more obscure than that.
